After a three-day marathon of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking, the latest edition of Validation Camp StartIT by ČSOB wrapped up in Ostrava. This event, organized in partnership with the Moravian-Silesian Technology Academy and the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Center, brought together high school students eager to develop their entrepreneurial skills and turn their ideas into reality.

Practical Experience Over Theory

Over the course of three days, more than 10 teams participated in an intensive program that combined theoretical preparation with hands-on experience. One of the highlights was a real market research activity, where students hit the streets of Ostrava to validate their business ideas through real customer feedback.

Another key aspect of the camp was communication training, led by experienced mentor Jiří Kratochvíl. Participants learned how to effectively present their projects, engage with an audience, and persuade investors of their idea’s value.

Final Presentations Before the Expert Jury

The final day was dedicated to the presentation of business concepts before an expert panel of judges. Each team was challenged to pitch their project, defend its feasibility, and demonstrate its market impact. The competition was tough, but in the end, the jury selected the two most promising projects:

1. An innovative auto service with enhanced customer experience – A revolutionary concept where customers no longer need to bring their cars to the service center; instead, the auto service manages the entire process for them.

2. A security solutions company for families and businesses – A project utilizing modern surveillance cameras and cutting-edge technology to prevent crime and enhance property protection.

Entrepreneurship as a Path to the Future

Validation Camp 2025 once again proved that the younger generation holds enormous potential and that with the right mentorship and practical education, high school students can develop innovative and viable business ideas. The event reinforced the idea that entrepreneurship is not just about theory—it’s about transforming ideas into real projects.

We extend our gratitude to all the participants, mentors, and organizers who contributed to creating an inspiring and impactful event.
