Pilot Future Mobility Workshop for Vocational Teachers in Havířov
On Thursday, February 12, in collaboration with the Secondary School of Technical Fields Havířov – Šumbark, we held a pilot Future Mobility workshop. This event was aimed at vocational teachers of technical subjects, offering not only inspiration but also practical tools to modernize teaching in the field of electromobility and the transformation of the automotive industry.
Electromobility as Reality, Not Just a Vision
The workshop was far from a typical lecture – it served as an open challenge:
In the theoretical part, we introduced the participants to key areas that are quickly becoming essential in vocational education:
- The development and challenges of electromobility
- Battery technologies and infrastructure
- New competencies and skills required of future graduates
This helped teachers better understand the strategic implications and what changes the shift to new mobility brings.
Hands-On Learning You Can Actually Touch
The practical part, led by Filip Houžvička and Vítězslav Žák, allowed teachers to explore the content of the EduBox Future Mobility in depth. Participants tested educational tools, reviewed sample teaching scenarios, and discussed how to integrate them directly into their school curricula.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive – nearly 20 participants agreed that interest in modern topics like electromobility is growing and that workshops like this are valuable not only for teachers but especially for students.
A New Series of Workshops Has Begun
This was the first in a new series of training programs by MTA, focused on supporting teachers in the field of future technologies. More dates are already being planned, and strong interest from schools and educators confirms we’re headed in the right direction.
