November was marked by intensive support for entrepreneurship in secondary schools across our region. The Moravian-Silesian Technology Academy, in cooperation with its partners, organized a series of workshops and consultation sessions designed to help young people develop their entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, and concrete project plans.
From Investment Strategies to a School Café
At the POJ Secondary School in Frýdek-Místek, students participated in a workshop titled “How to Allocate Business Profit into Investments”. Here, they were introduced to the basics of financial literacy, built their own investment plans, and learned to think about the long-term sustainability of their projects.
At the Technical Secondary School in Opava, the workshop “Entrepreneurial Awareness II” took place in cooperation with Impact Hub. Students focused on identifying entrepreneurial opportunities within their fields of study—such as engineering, IT, or services. The goal was to enhance awareness of business potential and develop concrete ideas for turning their skills into real-world projects.
A unique and personal dimension was brought by the “Brunch with an Expert” workshop at SPŠOA Bruntál, where students gathered in the relaxed environment of the school café. There, they learned how to calculate costs, create a simple business plan, and apply tools like SWOT analysis.
Education that Bridges Theory and Practice
The aim of these workshops is not only to provide theoretical preparation, but most importantly to offer direct interaction with professionals, hands-on exercises, and development of entrepreneurship as a key competence. We believe that this is the best way to show young people that entrepreneurship isn’t only about big plans—it’s about everyday problem-solving, creativity, and the courage to try something new.
