Roundtable on Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Highlights Growing Interest of Schools in Modern Technologies

P1012776 2 | Roundtable on Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Highlights Growing Interest of Schools in Modern Technologies

On May 12, 2026, a roundtable focused on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence took place at the premises of Tieto Czechia. The event attracted a total of 72 participants, including representatives of secondary schools, partners, and industry experts, confirming the growing interest of schools in modern technological topics—now increasingly also from general secondary schools (grammar schools).

Participants were welcomed by Petr Gratz, Executive Director of the company, who emphasized the need to innovate education and prepare schools for a rapidly changing technological environment.

Cybersecurity as Part of Modern Education

The cybersecurity block was opened by Radim Juchelka, team leader, who presented the current status of the project, outcomes from teaching, and further development of EduBoxes in this area.

A highlight of this section was the involvement of students who, during their studies, obtained professional certifications recognized as part of their final graduation exam. This strong connection between practical skills, real technologies, and vocational education clearly demonstrated the real-world impact of modern teaching.

Artificial Intelligence Directly in the Classroom

The second block focused on artificial intelligence. Members of the AI team presented concrete examples of EduBoxes and their application in teaching.

The presentation also introduced the platform ai.edubox.cz, where schools can find a range of basic educational modules focused on AI.

The team also presented the possibility of pilot teaching directly at schools, allowing teachers to benefit from expert support not only within individual subjects but also in interdisciplinary teaching, where AI is integrated with other areas of education.

Collaboration Between Schools and Industry

The roundtable once again confirmed that cybersecurity and artificial intelligence are among the key areas shaping the future of vocational education. It also showed that schools are actively seeking new ways to meaningfully integrate modern technologies into teaching.

The connection between schools, experts, and the corporate environment remains one of the main pillars of the activities of the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy and its partners, who are long-term contributors to the development of modern education in the region.
