Last Friday, June 14, 2024, within the framework of the TPA project – Innovation Centre for Transformation of Education – CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000072- a successful workshop called LEAN Project Day took place, which was attended by representatives from MTA employees. The event focused on practical practice of lean manufacturing (LEAN) principles and gave participants the opportunity to try out these methods in practice through a building block game.
During the project day, employees built a motorbike in line production and were tasked with fulfilling a customer order within a given time period. This process involved all key aspects of the production chain, from warehouse and material distribution, through belt production, to final handover of the product to the customer.
The workshop not only provided new knowledge and skills in lean manufacturing, but also strengthened teamwork and communication between employees. Participants appreciated the hands-on approach and the opportunity to apply theoretical concepts in real-life situations.
The LEAN project day was very well received and provided valuable experience that MTA employees will be able to use in the creation of new EduBoxes.
