At the end of January, the entrepreneurship team from the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy visited two secondary schools to run “Our Companies” project days. The goal was not only to develop students’ entrepreneurial thinking, but also to show them that creativity and teamwork are the foundation of a successful idea – and that entrepreneurial mindset is a skill that can be trained.
SPŠ, OA and JŠ Frýdek-Místek – Ecology, Technology, and Collaboration
On January 26, 2026, we visited SPŠ, OA and JŠ in Frýdek-Místek, where an entire class of Mechanical Engineering students took part. Although the students had a technical focus, they demonstrated remarkable creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Among their ideas were:
- BIO PH – eco-friendly fuel solutions,
- Lighting Toilet – multifunctional toilets with water recycling,
- Red Racket – anti-gravity backpacks designed for military use,
- YZ – aerodynamic parts tailored for racing teams.
A particularly great moment was when teams naturally began to collaborate and negotiate “business” relationships – just like in the real entrepreneurial world.
SZŠ Karviná – Empathy, Sustainability, and Health Care
Two days later, on January 28, 2026, we visited the Secondary Medical School in Karviná. A class made up mostly of female students presented a number of strong ideas with ecological and social impact.
Examples included:
- Reglass – refillable shampoos in glass packaging,
- FreshB – healthy school snack bars,
- Safetyshield – turtle-saving ship radar systems,
- Fresh Bag – food freshness indicator bags using color change,
- Goswift – a concept for ultra-fast taxi services.
The students showed strong motivation, empathy, and the ability to develop their ideas into meaningful and well-rounded concepts – including market targeting, marketing strategy, and financial planning.
Why Do “Our Companies” Project Days Matter?
The “Our Companies” project days are more than just a game – they are an intensive training of both soft and hard skills. Students work in teams, learn to communicate, plan, and present, while creating ideas that reflect the real world around them. They combine knowledge from multiple subjects and test what it truly means to be entrepreneurial.
We thank both schools for the fantastic atmosphere and the students for their inspiring projects, which prove that the future is already being built – right now.
