The “Our Companies” project day continues across the Moravian-Silesian Region in the 2025/2026 school year. This time, we visited the Secondary Industrial School and Business Academy in Bruntál, where students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of entrepreneurship through an interactive and experience-based program.

Entrepreneurship in Practice

Students of SPŠOA Bruntál actively participated in every part of the program day, which is designed to combine the basics of entrepreneurship with creative thinking and teamwork. Over the course of the day, they went through the key phases of the entrepreneurial cycle – from idea generation, through building a business model, to initial calculations of return on investment.

And the outcomes? Definitely worth it. Among the most interesting projects were:

  • Modular Desks – a solution for flexible use in offices and homes, reflecting modern demands for adaptable working environments.
  • Educational Robots – technology designed for teaching programming and technical subjects at primary and secondary schools, with strong potential in the educational tools market.

More Than Just a Game

The “Our Companies” program is not just a game about entrepreneurship. It creates a safe space where students can try out the role of an entrepreneur, learn to argue and present their ideas, and think about how to connect innovation with real societal needs. They also learn how to fail – and how to turn mistakes into new opportunities.

Fostering Entrepreneurial Thinking in Schools

The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy has long supported entrepreneurship as one of the key competencies for the 21st century. The “Our Companies” project days have become a proven tool to bring this goal into everyday school life. The strong interest from students, teachers, and school leadership in Bruntál confirmed once again that this approach makes sense – and that young people are ready to think entrepreneurially.
