On November 19, 2024, the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy (MTA) visited the Secondary School and Higher Vocational School in Kopřivnice. The visit aimed to showcase modern educational tools and present the vision of integrating high school education with current technological trends.
EduBoxes Future Mobility: Practical Inspiration for Students
The highlight of the program was the presentation of EduBoxes, which introduce and explain contemporary topics, such as Future Mobility. Demonstrations included applications using augmented reality and a preview of a game-based application designed for both students and teachers. Nearly 60 students had the opportunity to explore the world of future mobility through interactive materials that connect theory with practice.
EduBoxes have already been developed for various areas, including electromobility, the use of photovoltaic panels in modern homes, and an introduction to energy literacy. These tools offer students a practical perspective on their future career possibilities, bridging the gap between education and real-world applications.
MTA Presentation: Support for Vocational Schools
Following the program for students, a lecture was held for the school’s teachers and leadership. Jan Meca, Chairman of the Board at MTA, introduced the organization’s activities and its mission to support technical education and entrepreneurship. The discussion focused on potential collaboration, particularly in sharing educational materials designed to simplify the preparation and teaching of technical subjects for vocational schools. This concept was warmly received, especially by the school’s director, Jiří Pištecký, who praised the potential of these tools to enhance the effectiveness of education.
Added Value for Schools and Students
The MTA Roadshow in Kopřivnice reaffirmed that introducing the latest technologies through modern educational tools can significantly enhance students’ preparation for the dynamic job market. It also demonstrated that shared educational materials and collaboration among schools can be key to advancing technical education to a higher level.
MTA’s visit to Kopřivnice marked another step toward strengthening partnerships with vocational schools and developing education that aligns with both current and future market needs.
This visit was made possible with the support of the TPA Project – Innovation Center for Education Transformation – CZ.10.03.01/00/22_003/0000072, funded through the Operational Program for Fair Transformation (OPST) of the State Environmental Fund.
