Representatives of the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy (MTA) visited the Secondary School of Industry and Art in Opava (SŠPU) to present their vision and specific offerings aimed at bringing innovation to secondary technical and vocational education. The meeting focused on showcasing EduBox educational modules, sharing experiences, and exploring ways to better connect schools with industrial companies.

Collaboration and Sharing for Modern Education

The primary topic of the meeting was the connection between secondary schools and commercial companies, which can significantly enhance the preparation of students for the future job market. MTA’s key goals include:

Sharing know-how through modern educational materials among schools, enabling teachers to prepare more effectively for technical lessons.

Optimizing school resources through sharing, helping to reduce financial costs for individual schools.

Creating a space for collaboration between vocational schools and companies, supporting students in gaining practical experience.

An augmented reality application was also introduced.

EduBoxes: New Opportunities for Teaching

The presentation was attended by eight vocational teachers, primarily focused on engineering, who were given a detailed introduction to EduBoxes—educational modules tailored for technical fields. These modules include interactive teaching materials that bridge theory and practice, helping students better understand key principles of modern industry.

A Shared Vision for the Future

The meeting in Opava reinforced the idea that collaboration between schools and organizations like MTA has the potential to significantly enhance technical education. Sharing resources and experiences not only reduces financial costs but also improves the quality of teaching, preparing students for the challenges of the future job market. This sentiment was echoed by the principal of SŠPU Opava, Mr. Vítězslav Doleží.

This visit marks another step toward creating an effective network of schools and industrial partners, inspiring the younger generation and supporting their education and professional growth. We thank SŠPU Opava for their warm welcome and look forward to further collaboration!
