As part of our Roadshow, we visit secondary schools across the Moravian-Silesian Region, meeting with vocational subject teachers, school leaders, and students. We’re interested in their experiences, needs, and goals. We understand that every school is different—and we also know that an enthusiastic teacher is the key to enthusiastic students.
Technology and Agriculture Under One Roof
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, we visited the Secondary Technical and Agricultural School in Nový Jičín, which offers a broad range of technical and science-based disciplines. Students can develop skills in engineering, agriculture, and skilled trades. The school collaborates with more than 50 companies, giving its education a clear practical dimension and opening doors to the labor market.
Robotics That Inspires
One of the driving forces behind the modernization of teaching is Tomáš Kubrický, a vocational teacher who originally specialized in automotive mechanics. However, thanks to his interest in technology and training completed at FANUC, he began to focus on industrial robotics. Today, he is an inspiration to his students and proof that changing direction can lead to deeper expertise and greater enthusiasm for teaching.
What are his goals for further development?
• Expanding the curriculum in electrical engineering
• Modernizing the facilities for robotics education
• Updating final exams
• Organizing more company excursions and participation in professional competitions
