The Moravian-Silesian Technology Academy has taken another important step forward — it has officially become a member of the European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EfVET), one of the most prominent European networks dedicated to technical and vocational education.
What is EfVET?
EfVET is a European professional association that brings together vocational education providers, schools, training institutions, industry partners, and public authorities. Its main goal is to connect key actors in vocational education across Europe, facilitate knowledge sharing, and — most importantly — actively contribute to shaping European education policies.
Why is MTA’s Membership in EfVET Important?
By joining this platform, MTA is now part of a leading group of European institutions striving to modernize, innovate, and strengthen vocational education and training. As a member, we gain access to:
- European educational projects and funding opportunities, such as Erasmus+, European Digital Education Hub, and more.
- The chance to share best practices, including our own innovations like EduBoxes and support programs for student entrepreneurship.
- Participation in thematic working groups focused on digital education, work-based learning, safety, and other current topics.
- A stronger voice in European education policy discussions, from innovation and legislation to funding structures.
What Does This Mean for Our Schools and Partners?
Membership in EfVET is not only a significant milestone for MTA — it also brings new opportunities for schools, teachers, and partners we collaborate with. It paves the way for:
- International collaboration and networking,
- Student and teacher exchange programs,
- Joint projects, and
- A path toward aligning with European standards in vocational education.
We are proud to represent the Czech Republic and our region on the European stage. We believe our experiences and approaches can meaningfully contribute to both the debate and practice of vocational education across Europe — and we look forward to cooperating with other EfVET members.
