The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy has long been committed to supporting innovation in vocational education, primarily within the Moravian-Silesian Region. Increasingly, however, our activities are extending beyond regional boundaries, confirming that interest in modern educational tools and innovative teaching approaches is growing across the Czech Republic.
One such opportunity was this year’s UŠI FEST 2026, a student-led event organized for the wider public at Smíchov Secondary School in Prague. Held under the motto “Inspire and Be Inspired,” the festival attracted hundreds of visitors who had the opportunity to explore dozens of student projects, participate in workshops, attend lectures, and join panel discussions.
The atmosphere throughout the event clearly demonstrated that young people are eager to develop their skills beyond the framework of traditional classroom education. That is why we were delighted to be part of the program and to introduce both visitors and educators to the activities of the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy and the practical applications of EduBoxes.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore our EduBox educational platform, examine an electric vehicle enhanced with an augmented reality application, and try working with a 3D spatial manipulator. These hands-on demonstrations showcased how vocational education can be effectively connected with current industrial needs and technological advancements.
Our participation in UŠI FEST is further proof that the topics we focus on resonate far beyond the Moravian-Silesian Region. Schools, teachers, and students alike are increasingly seeking new ways to make learning more engaging and to prepare young people for the professional challenges of the future. As a result, EduBoxes are gradually becoming a valuable educational tool not only in our region but throughout other parts of the Czech Republic as well.
We would like to thank the organizers for an exceptionally well-prepared event and all visitors for the inspiring conversations and exchanges. We look forward to future opportunities to present modern vocational education to new audiences.
Because innovation in education knows no boundaries.
