The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy took part in the important Cérka Design Forum, which opened an essential discussion about the future of regions, public spaces, and the connection between education and the modern development of cities and industry.

The entire event presented an inspiring example of how a former industrial site can be transformed into a new functional complex with the potential to become a natural center for more than 220,000 residents from the surrounding region.

A Space for Sharing Visions and Experience

The forum featured a number of prominent figures from public administration, industry, and regional development. Speakers included:

  • Josef Bělica, Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region,
  • Radim Holiš, Governor of the Zlín Region,
  • Jiří Novotný, Mayor of Trojanovice,
  • as well as representatives of industry, including the company onsemi.

The discussions focused not only on architecture and urban planning, but above all on how to create environments that remain attractive for living, working, and education in the long term.

Entrepreneurship as Part of the Region’s Future

At the forum, the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy presented its activities in the field of entrepreneurship support, introduced by team leader Zuzana Andrýsková.

The development of entrepreneurial thinking among young people, the connection between schools and industry, and the support of creative thinking are all topics with a direct impact on the future and competitiveness of the region.

Connecting Projects with Real Impact

Participation in the Cérka Design Forum once again confirmed that the future of education cannot be separated from the development of cities, regions, and industry. The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy aims to continue actively connecting similar initiatives and seeking ways to create environments that motivate future generations toward activity, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

It is precisely the cooperation between the public sector, schools, and companies that can bring real change with long-term impact.
