Excursion to Elpro Energo Transformers: Transformer Production and Growth Within Reach

P1000775 | Excursion to Elpro Energo Transformers: Transformer Production and Growth Within Reach

Together with representatives of the newly formed energy team, we visited the company Elpro Energo Transformers on July 14th, located in Hnojník. Our guides were Quality Manager Michaela Prisnitzová and Jane Czernek.

The company was founded in 2018 and has, within just a few years, developed into a reliable supplier of transformers for major clients such as ČEZ, Czech Railways, Siemens, and many others. Today, Elpro operates a two-shift system and employs approximately 140 people. Their production is delivered to countries within a radius of nearly 2,000 kilometers, including Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Ukraine.

Production and Further Development

Elpro Energo Transformers specializes primarily in the production of oil-filled transformers for outdoor use, but also manufactures dry-type transformers intended for buildings. Production currently takes place in two manufacturing halls, with plans for further expansion. The goal is to build sufficient production capacity and achieve full self-sufficiency.

Architecture and Environment

During the tour, we were impressed not only by the production process and the friendly attitude of the staff but also by the modern facilities. The company building is made entirely of wood (including the trusses), and the reception area is adorned with an elegant onyx desk. This clearly reflects the company’s commitment to detail in creating an environment that is pleasant for both employees and visitors.

We sincerely thank Elpro Energo Transformers for their warm welcome and the opportunity to peek behind the curtain of top-tier manufacturing that extends far beyond the borders of our region.
