More than 250 participants, 11 student companies, and one shared goal—to show that entrepreneurship belongs in schools.
Entrepreneurship EXPO, held on April 28, 2026, at the Akord Cultural Center in Ostrava, was not just a conference. It was a place where stories, courage, and tangible results of young people’s work came together.
When School Goes Beyond Theory
The entire day revolved around a simple yet powerful idea: entrepreneurship cannot be learned from textbooks alone—it must be experienced.
And this was visible at every step of the EXPO.
Eleven student companies presented their projects, products, and approaches to business. Behind every stand was a story—an idea born in the classroom that gradually took on real-world form.
Visitors didn’t see “student projects”—they saw real beginnings of businesses.
Energy You Can’t Fake
The program opened with a dynamic performance by Funky Beats, setting the tone for the entire day. This was followed by an inspiring talk by Tomáš Vaněček from Švihej, who showed that the path to entrepreneurship is not always straightforward—but all the more worthwhile because of it.
Two panel discussions brought insights from experts and practitioners. There were no generic statements—only real experiences: what works, what doesn’t, and what young people truly need today.
Support That Makes Sense
A key moment was the interview with Gabriela Kajabová from the Entrepreneurial Czechia Association, who introduced opportunities for supporting schools and involving them in the certification of entrepreneurial schools.
The core message was clear: entrepreneurship is not a one-time activity, but a long-term approach that must become part of a school’s culture.
Connections That Transform Education
Entrepreneurship EXPO highlighted how essential it is to connect:
- schools that give space to ideas,
- experts who bring real-world experience,
- and institutions that create conditions for growth.
Two interviews, two keynote talks, and dozens of informal discussions throughout the day created an environment where new connections—and future collaborations—were formed.
Not Just an Event. A Direction.
Entrepreneurship EXPO was not about numbers—even though they were impressive.
It was about people who want to create, experiment, and move things forward.
And that is exactly why events like this matter. Because when you give young people space, they achieve things that often surprise even experienced professionals.
The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy will continue on this path.
Because entrepreneurship is not a trend.
It is a skill for life.
