Today, students from classes 2.C and 3.C at SPŠOA in Bruntál participated in a unique discussion with former student Dominik Matocha, who is now successfully studying and working in Ireland. The talk, titled “Entrepreneurship and Life in Ireland,” brought engaging stories, practical advice, and valuable insights from Dominik’s experiences abroad.

Ireland as a Gateway to Personal Growth

Dominik Matocha began by explaining why he chose Ireland as a place for both personal and professional development. He shared his early struggles, including overcoming language barriers and fears of the unknown. He emphasized that mastering a foreign language is key to success and that living abroad is the ultimate life school.

Practical Tips for Studying Abroad

One of the most beneficial parts of the discussion was Dominik’s practical advice:

Preparation before departure: From visas and insurance to finding accommodation and work.

Adapting to a new environment: Dominik recommended giving yourself enough time to adapt and taking every opportunity to meet new people.

Chasing your dreams: He highlighted that achieving a goal is only possible if you believe in what you do and have the courage to step out of your comfort zone.

Life in Ireland: Culture, Sports, and Friendly Atmosphere

Dominik also shared insights into the lifestyle in Ireland, describing the open and friendly local culture, as well as the popularity of sports such as rugby and hurling. He enriched his talk with personal anecdotes, painting a vivid picture of life in the country and its daily realities.

Inspiration for Everyone

The discussion was not only a motivation to embrace entrepreneurship but also a call for students to step out of their comfort zones and focus on personal growth. Dominik Matocha demonstrated that determination and the right mindset can lead to remarkable achievements, whether in living abroad or building personal projects.
