On November 8, 2024, a meeting took place in Třinec between representatives of the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy (MTA) and the Czech company MEPAC CZ, s.r.o. The meeting, held at the company’s headquarters in Nebory, focused on exploring collaboration opportunities for developing EduBoxes dedicated to 3D scanning and reverse engineering.

MEPAC: Specialists in Technical Components and Digitalization Innovation

MEPAC CZ, s.r.o. specializes in the production and supply of technical components and equipment, with expertise in digitalization, particularly 3D scanning and reverse engineering. During the meeting, Jakub Lasota, Head of Sales and Marketing, and Marcin Poloczek, a designer, showcased the capabilities of 3D scanning and discussed its potential applications in education.

EduBox Focused on 3D Scanning: A First Step Toward Practical Digitalization Education

Through collaboration with MEPAC, the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy aims to develop an EduBox—an educational module focused on 3D scanning. This module would include practical demonstrations, tools, and learning materials, enabling both students and teachers to understand and master processes related to digitalization and reverse engineering. MEPAC could serve as the supplier of the necessary 3D technology for the development and long-term implementation of this EduBox.

Opening New Opportunities for Future Technicians

This meeting marks a significant step in linking education with industrial innovation, bringing students closer to technologies that will shape their future professional lives. An EduBox dedicated to 3D scanning could enhance students’ technical skills and better prepare them for modern working environments.

A Model for Education-Industry Collaboration

The partnership between MTA and MEPAC CZ, s.r.o. exemplifies the integration of education and industry, helping to prepare skilled professionals for the future workforce.
