On Saturday, September 6, 2025, OC Letňany transformed into a hub of electromobility, innovation, and modern education. The event Svět motorů – Experience the Electric Car! attracted over a thousand visitors and offered not only the chance to test-drive electric vehicles but also to explore how we’re preparing the next generation of automotive professionals for the future of mobility.
MTA and Future Mobility in the Spotlight
The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy presented itself in full force at this prestigious event, showcasing its Future Mobility EduBox team. Under the guidance of renowned electromobility expert Filip Houžvička, and in cooperation with respected journalist and automotive specialist Martin Vaculík, we demonstrated a wide range of our innovative educational tools.
At our stand, visitors got a behind-the-scenes look at how today’s students are being taught to work with electric vehicles. The exhibit included a functional headlight connected to an educational app integrated with the Renault Scenic E-Tech, as well as hands-on examples from the EduBoxes. These learning modules effectively combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills, all delivered in a clear, engaging, and interactive format.
Over 100 Electric Vehicles, 1,000+ Test Drives
The entire event was centered around future technologies. Czech Transport Minister Martin Kupka opened the program with a keynote speech. Throughout the day, visitors had the chance to explore and test more than 100 electric cars from nearly 30 different manufacturers. The public’s interest was overwhelming — with over 1,000 test drives completed in a single day, the popularity of electric mobility and openness to new technologies was undeniable.
Education as a Vital Component
Interest in the MTA stand remained constant throughout the event. We were visited not only by the general public but also by industry experts, vocational teachers, school leaders, and company representatives. One of the highlights was the visit of Martin Vaculík, who personally praised our role in educating the future workforce in electromobility.
EduBoxes: Bridging the Gap Between School and Industry
Our presence at the event clearly demonstrated that EduBoxes have become an essential part of vocational education. These modules help bring fast-evolving technologies closer to students — in a way that’s accessible, engaging, and technically accurate. The tremendous interest shown by both the public and professionals alike confirms we’re on the right path.
