On Thursday, April 16, the 42th anniversary General Assembly of the Autocluster took place in Ostrava. The event was not just a formal gathering of members, but offered a full-day program of expert lectures, partner presentations, and practical demonstrations in the field of modern technologies and mobility.
The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy, founded by the Autocluster, was naturally present at this important event.
New Leadership of the Autocluster
One of the key points of the program was the election of a new Autocluster president. Jiří Linhart from Schaeffler was appointed to the position, taking over from Karel Bill, who will remain actively involved in the Autocluster’s activities in the coming years.
The program also included a review of activities in 2025, the presentation of plans for 2026, and a discussion on the development strategy for the 2026–2028 period.
Technology, Practice, and Education
The program began with a session focused on autonomous mobility at VŠB–TUO, featuring an expert lecture accompanied by practical demonstrations. Participants then moved to the MSIC premises, where the General Assembly and the subsequent expert program took place.
An important part of the day also included partner presentations and networking opportunities among companies, schools, and other stakeholders.
Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy in Action
As part of the program, the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy presented its activities in education, particularly within the Future Mobility segment. Participants had the opportunity to explore specific teaching tools and equipment designed to bring modern technologies closer to secondary school students.
The exhibits included, for example:
- EduBoxes focused on electromobility
- Demonstrations of working with vehicle lighting systems
- OneBox as a comprehensive educational tool
- An outdoor presentation of electric vehicles enhanced with augmented reality applications
These demonstrations showcased practical ways of integrating modern technologies directly into education and preparing students for current and future demands of the automotive industry.
Space for Collaboration
The final part of the program featured the presentation of the Moravian-Silesian Region Skills Portal and individual B2B meetings between companies. Connecting industry, education, and the public sector remains one of the key long-term goals of the Autocluster.
The General Assembly once again confirmed that such meetings are essential—not only for sharing information, but above all for finding common ways to respond to a rapidly changing technological environment.
The Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy is proud to be part of this collaboration and to actively contribute to the development of vocational education in the region.
