On March 21, 2025, an inspiring lecture titled “Business Without Risks” took place at the Grammar School and Secondary School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. The event featured guest speaker Jiří Vévoda, a financial advisor from Allianz Insurance, who introduced third-year students to key topics in financial security and entrepreneurial thinking.
The lecture focused on the practical use of financial tools in both business and everyday life. Mr. Vévoda clearly explained how insurance protects individuals, companies, and self-employed professionals from financial losses. Through real-life examples from his experience, students gained a deeper understanding of why well-structured insurance coverage is a crucial element of any business plan.
An important part of the session was a discussion on investing. Students learned how mutual funds work, how to identify different types of investments, and what risks to consider. Emphasis was placed on the importance of long-term financial planning, critical thinking, and the ability to evaluate financial product offers.
The session provided students with practical insights they can apply not only in school but also in their future professional and personal lives. The topic of personal financial responsibility and navigating the world of entrepreneurship became more accessible and tangible.
Events like this are proof that vocational education can be not only theoretical, but also hands-on, relevant, and connected to the real world. We thank Mr. Vévoda for his valuable insights and his open, engaging approach, which inspired students to take a greater interest in business and finance.
