Last week, a gathering of entrepreneurial high school students took place in Ostrava, bringing together participants and active contributors from events such as Validation Camp, CzechSkills, and the preparation team for the international EuroSkills competition.
This meeting had several key objectives – not only to strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of the participants but also to create a space for experience sharing and proposing improvements. The discussion was attended by MTA Chairman Jan Meca, who collaborated with students to explore effective ways to further develop entrepreneurial support in high schools across the Moravian-Silesian region.
Constructive Debate and Fresh Ideas
During an open and inspiring discussion, students provided feedback on individual projects and presented suggestions for optimizing certain areas. The main topics included:
• School businesses – how to more effectively support their establishment and operation.
• Entrepreneurial support – how to better engage students and teachers in fostering entrepreneurial activities.
• Improving communication and access to information – proposals to enhance awareness of MTA projects directly in schools.
Students agreed that practical experience and direct involvement in entrepreneurial activities are the most valuable forms of learning. Skill training, mentoring support, and the opportunity to work on real projects are crucial factors that can significantly contribute to their future professional development.
Working Together for Stronger Entrepreneurial Support
The meeting clearly demonstrated that young people are eager to grow and push the boundaries of entrepreneurship in schools. Their insights and feedback will serve as valuable foundations for further developing entrepreneurial support, which is an essential part of modern education.
We thank all participants for their active approach, creativity, and willingness to contribute to the innovation of education. We believe that through joint efforts, we can create an environment that will inspire future generations of students to embrace entrepreneurship and independence.
