On October 1, 2024, the Pevnost poznání (Fort of Knowledge) in Olomouc hosted a fair focused on showcasing innovative tools and technologies that are revolutionizing technical education and approaches to employment. The event attracted both experts and the public, offering a glimpse into the future where modern technologies and educational systems will play a crucial role.

One of the key offerings presented was the EduBox from the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy (MTA). This innovative educational module introduces new teaching methods for technical fields and enhances students’ preparation for real-world professional challenges. EduBox was showcased both theoretically, where experts explained its contribution to innovative education, and through practical demonstrations. The modules focusing on Automation (pneumatic systems) and Future Mobility, covering topics like electromobility and energy, generated the most interest.

The program also included a lecture in the Auditorium, featuring representatives from the business sector and government ministries. The discussion emphasized the urgent need to find intersections between vocational education and the current demands of the labor market. Speakers called for stronger collaboration between schools and industry and the transfer of know-how to support the development of technical skills in the younger generation.

The fair was not just about expert talks but also showcased concrete projects. Alongside Autocluster, a key representative of companies from the automotive industry, the LAB IR – Thermography for Schools project was presented, aiming to integrate thermal imaging technologies into education.

The entire event clearly demonstrated that modern technologies must be an integral part of the future of technical education, and that collaboration between schools and industry is the key to success. The fair was an excellent example of how education can be effectively linked with real labor market needs, opening doors for students to promising careers in technical fields.
