Today’s focus was a significant meeting between representatives of the Moravian-Silesian Technological Academy (MTA) and Maxion Wheels Czech s.r.o., attended by key figures from the company. This meeting represents an important step toward strengthening collaboration in technical education and aligning the education sector with the real needs of the industry.

The meeting was attended by the following representatives from Maxion Wheels:
• Ing. Jiří Zaoral, Plant Manager Aluminium and Procurator,
• Ing. Pavel Lipina, Engineering Manager of the Alukola Plant,
• Jakub Rušaj, Simulation Engineer & Regional EMEA iCoordinator Engineering.
Maxion Wheels Czech specializes in advanced technologies in chemistry, material applications, casting, machining, digitization, and robotics. Recently, the company has also ventured into visual inspection using image recognition. Its innovative approach and focus on modern technologies make it an ideal partner for developing educational content for MTA’s EduBoxes.
Outlining the Collaboration
To ensure effective coordination, Tomáš Kummer was appointed as the contact person for cooperation between MTA and Maxion Wheels. On Maxion Wheels’ side, Jakub Rušaj, a simulation specialist, will play a key role in the project. The discussion yielded several important outcomes:
• Open-minded leadership: Plant Manager Ing. Jiří Zaoral emphasized the company’s interest in a long-term partnership and proposed ways to expand the collaboration.
• Defining needs: Maxion Wheels representatives committed to outlining what the “ideal graduate” in their field should look like. This information will be crucial for developing new EduBoxes that reflect current industry requirements.
• Collaboration timeline: The first phase of the partnership is expected to be completed by mid-2025.
